Remlive MRL-1 is a product in the range of Remlive Electrical Safety Products. Its purpose is to provide WARNING OF PRESENCE OF ELECTRICITY.

The MRL-1 is designed to fit inside a control panel or switch and mounts on standard DIN rail.

The MRL-1 consists of a polycarbonate enclosure, which contains a series of LED's and a legend displaying the following conditions for single phase circuits.

The MRL-1 contains electronic circuits which connect via terminals and user wiring to a point as close as possible to the point of the electrical supply to be monitored - usually immediately after the disconnect switch or on terminal rails where voltages come into one control panel, but are fed from another.
The concept of operation is that when the power is present, then the LED displays in the MRL-1 would be illuminated with some intense flashing LED's which attract attention. These LED's remain operational until all voltage has decayed to less than 24v on all connections.
The person performing the work in the isolator or control panel cannot fail to see the flashes immediately upon opening the enclosure door and therefore receives the warning that the equipment still has a potentially lethal condition. The legend on MRL-1 advises this person to employ other safety procedures and test further before touching.

Another function of MRL-1 is to give a continuous reminder to personnel when working on or near live equipment, for test and maintenance purposes, that the situation is one that needs additional care due to the presence of potentially lethal voltage.
